Himes-Getchell house at 492 South Main Street. Built around 1875, 2 1/2 story bracketed and gabled dwelling with a
3 bay facade and central entrance. Built by Joseph Himes and later owned by Seth Getchell, a tin cylinder
manufacturer. In 1900 the house was the setting for a luncheon honoring William Jenning Bryan, Democratic
presidential candidate.
